a recent university project allowed me to make a 48hr zine, introducing us to a new brief where we will eventually create a whole full issue of a zine about absolutely anything we want. the 48hr zine had to be created about the idea of 'obsession' - im not too sure what i am obsessed with, but i came up with SIDNEY. i played about with the 90's trend which i am loving at the moment, incorporating 90's 'rave' colours with the key 90's trend of grunge.

if you have looked at my self promotion work on my eportfolio, you'll see that i prefer hands on work than always using photoshop so, using tracing paper, neon pink acrylic paint and glue, i made an a7 portrait zine with a cotton cover and a self hinged accordion style book. the images inside were sourced from blogs and magazines such as raygun and berlin based publications which i picked up on my visit in january. i then used lyrics from the popular 90's salt 'n' pepper song - push it - to create context.
