lfw prep at john rocha

i have just finished my three day work experience with john rocha at london fashion week, which was as amazing and as exciting as last season- definitely my favourite season so far.

the team prepped for two days in islington, altering garments, casting models (only females this season), organising the seating plan and adding the finishing touches for the SS12 show on saturday. on thursday and friday, i helped with the seating plans and invitations, cut up black thin leather strips for the models hair which was going to be loosely knotted in along with chiffon strips, taking a trip to oxford street to find 16x nude g-strings (which proved impossible!) and party gel feet pads for the shoes.

im content just to sit there and watch what happens around the studio; i love that environment. the castings and fittings always really interest me, maybe because the models are like another species...however, most of the models didn't arrive back from nyfw until friday/saturday, so a lot of the fittings had to be done overnight on friday and just a couple of hours before the show the following day!
