the inspiration from this collection came from 'mythical warriors, fishing on the amazon and the paintings of pierre soulages and hank williams'. the subtle and monochrome tones of the pieces, blacks to golden beiges to crisp whites, allowed the textures and layered structures to become even more so apparent. fabrics ranged from sheer delicate silks, black smooth looped leathers, figure hugging light knits and boiled manipulated raffia, sewn onto statement dresses. the sheer pieces, drapped off the body beautifully adding romance, whilst the more heavily textured pieces added drama and attitude, teamed with the headpieces which echoed tribal mohaiks, perfected that balance between feminity and edge. abbey lee started and ended the show; with the bohemian hairstyles and harshish make up, the looks contrasted each other, thanks to the work of textures. my favourite pieces are the sheer looks, (a look i think is apprioate for summer and winter) with layer-detailed white/black dresses perfect for a summers evening, worn with leather looped platform sandles.
